Because happy people are beautiful.
Tucked amongst the eel grass this unlikely pair has found love. We should all be so lucky!
It’s a well known fact that blackbirds are attracted to shiny objects, but who knew they also loved polka-dots? Well apparently they do as this pair is being quite insistent on getting a closer look at Max the cat’s brightly colored fish-on-a-string. Max, however, isn’t so sure about sharing his favorite toy!
It’s the dead of winter and although I have plenty of dried herbs I miss having bunches fresh from the garden! Basil is my favorite to grow, so many varieties that all smell and taste a little different and are such hardy, robust plants. Even the pale little bloom stalks are pretty!
Someone remembered this fuzzy little bumblebee on Valentine’s Day this year and sent him a tasty looking (and quite large) cupcake with a big candy heart on top. The frosting smells so good and the sprinkles look so pretty he can hardly bring himself to eat it – but that won’t last long!
It’s getting to be that time of year and Cupid is already hard at work inspiring love and giving those of us who need it a little “boost” so we don’t let the hustle and bustle of life cause us to miss out on happiness. (It’s a substantial arrow but don’t worry, you won’t even know what hit you.)
January is here and although it’s often the coldest month of the year this little family of cardinals doesn’t seem to mind — they’re too busy enjoying a dusting of fresh snow!
The other morning the sun was shining through the branches of the small woods near my house, peeking brightly through the clouds and lighting everything in an eerie but beautiful glow of yellows and grays. We’ve had so much snow lately that everything was catching the light!
Sammy the cat loves nothing more than to spend the afternoon soaking up sunbeams.
Seven hearts, swirling and whirling until they find a lucky landing place this Valentine’s Day. Catch one if you can!
What a beautiful night! The trek to top of the snow-covered hill is suddenly so worth it. With the stars shining brightly and the sky looming large, this little couple is reveling in the magic of it all and are grateful to have found each other (and their little dog too).
When you live in a house that’s shaped like a giant heart
Valentine’s Day is (naturally) quite a big deal. With some extra support applied to the foundation we can only imagine what kinds of crazy dancing and other fun festivities are going on inside!
Standing under the Star Tree is a magical and wondrous experience, and you never know when you might get lucky and be there to catch a falling star.
This adorable little bee is so happy he can hardly contain himself, must be good news in the hive today!
Ah, the sweet dreams of bumble bees! All warm sun and nectar-filled flowers.
“With rushing winds and gloomy skies, the dark and stubborn Winter dies.” ~Bayard Taylor
One of my favorite spring quotes.
It’s April, and the robins scouring the lawn in little armies looking for bugs and worms!
