Nature’s Path Earth Day Giveaway!

I’m excited to announce my blog’s very first giveaway courtesy of Nature’s Path. Nature’s Path specializes in organic breakfast cereals, granola bars, and other foods produced in a way that promotes wholesome goodness and sustainability. I especially like them because after looking over their website they seem like an interesting, quirky group that would be fun to hang out with.

Nature’s Path is offering this giveaway in part to celebrate Earth Day and also to promote their new, more sustainable packaging. Earth Day is a good chance for all of us to consider how we can make our lives more sustainable — big or small every effort helps! Think of a realistic change you’re willing to make and enter to win by sharing it in a comment below. One winner, chosen randomly, will get a reusable shopping bag filled with Nature’s Path cereal, granola and granola bars!

Giveaway Rules: To enter leave a comment on this post between 12:00am on Monday, April 12th and 11:59pm on Wednesday, April 21st, 2010. Be sure to include a valid email address! You can comment as many times as you want but only one entry will be counted per person. The winner be will be chosen randomly from all valid entries received. The winner will be posted on the site and notified via email on April 22nd, 2010 (Earth Day!) and will have 48 hrs to respond or a new winner will be selected. The prize will be delivered by Nature’s Path once I provide them with the winner’s name and address. Open to residents of U.S. and Canada only. This is my first giveaway so I hope it all goes smoothly!

I just realized I totally didn’t read the instructions before I posted my first comment. Ooooops. Okay my realistic change is that I am going to always wash out and recycle messy soup cans etc. that can’t be recycled unless you wash them out first. Right now I sometimes get lazy and only recycle the things that don’t need washing.

Yummmm, Nature’s Path!! I buy all organic fruits/veggies and put them in my nice, reusable green shopping bags! I also get meat from my dad who raises organic grass fed lamb and beef. One other green thing on my checklist everyday is to turn the heat off or down when we leave the house for the day.

Oh, I did this wrong the first time, too. As by far the biggest energy use related to cars is their manufacture, I’m going to keep the one I have for at least another year. Maybe two! :)

I pledge to keep the promises I made on the first Earth Day when thousands of us long haired hippie kids converged on DC. After two open heart surgeries all animal fat will again be eliminated from my diet and I will seek to eat foods from known local sources. Of course, Nature’s Path products will always be welcome in my mouth!

  11. Brian Nisonger says:

If you are just going to the corner store for a quick snack, walk. It will burn off the extra calories :) and reduces your car usage which not only lowers how much gasoline you use, but lessens car emissions.

“We have met the enemy and he is us.”
